Make 2023 the Year to Tackle (and Tame) Your To-Do List

I'm a list maker.

At any point in the week, you'll find my life in sticky notes, multiple lists on paper, lists on my phone, and notebooks filled with lists. If you're like me, you have wayyy too many things you're trying to do in any given week, and creating lists helps you create order in the midst of chaos. The thought is that by creating a list you won't lose sight of anything.

At the beginning of this year, I realized my lists were growing bigger each week, even though I was checking things off. It seemed that no matter how much I did, I wasn't even making a dent. And that felt exhausting.

In the meantime, I'd just purchased a new planner. A different planner than the year before. In fact, in the last 5 years, I'd tried 5 of the most popular planners on the market. Each one so promising in the early weeks of January, only to find mid-February that it wasn't working for me. Not to mention, I was only utilizing about 10 percent of the content.

Apparently, I plan my life through lists.

For me, all I need is a basic pocket or wall calendar, and a hefty list.

A couple of months into January of last year, I created my own lists and printed them out. Soon, I combined them. I organized them. And I refined them. And within a couple of months, I realized something.

I was getting stuff done.

I mean, a LOT of stuff. And my many many to-do lists had been narrowed into one. That's when it occurred to me: If it helped my crazy list life, it could help yours too!

I created some initial prototypes and sent them out to 10 others for feedback. Their feedback, and what I learned from 9 months of using it myself is what led to the single to-do list layout that simplified my life, made me more productive and decreased my anxiety about "missing" something.

It's called The Prolific Planner, Weekly To Do Planner, and it can do the same for you.

Created in my newest patterns, Frolic and Bloom, it's about one-third of the price of the planners I've used over the last 5 years, which means, giving it a shot is a no-brainer. So, stop by the shop and grab one for yourself and make this New Year your most productive, manageable, and enjoyable year ever!
